Hurricane Hooks provide excellent panel retention in the highest wind, while leaving panels extremely easy to install. This installation method shows both the Hurricane Hook attached via Ultra-F channel, but it can be positively attached as shown in the next example.
Positively Attached Hurricane Hook
When visible channels are not desired on a building's facade, Hurricane Hooks can attached directly to the structure.
Retention Head System™ with Ultra-F
VuSafe's exclusive combination of the patent pending Ultra-H™ header and Panel Clip™ combines the ease of installation of a starndard H-Header system with the impact and wind resistance of direct mounting / positive attachment.
Although positive attachment (aka direct mount) is the most secure and least visually obtrusive installation method, it is less commonly used since each screw must be attached individually. This is very time consuming.
H-Headers with Ultra-F or standard F-Track channel is the most common installation method because of its quick and easy installation. This installation method, however, can not cover as tall openings as other methods.
The panel stitch system enhances the maximum allowable length of any type of panel mounting system.
Essentially as strong as positive attachment, the use of Ultra-F or F-Track channels at the top and bottom is also a slow method of installation.
